Weekend Fun

We had a great weekend. It finally warmed up enough to go outside. Saturday we went to the zoo and today, after church, we had a picnic at the playground. G' got to go to a princess birthday party and while we were picking out a birthday present we found some matching outfits. (G' found matching outfits for her and M') The $4 price tag was too tempting to pass up, plus they looked super cute. So hopefully, if everyone cooperates during naptime I'll post some pictures of our fun. Here are a few. . .I'm off to play with my birthday present, a new printer.

Gracie Quote

At breakfast this morning Grace and Obie were sitting at the table. Mike and I were in the kitchen. Grace and Obie were sitting next to eachother, their backs to us. All of a sudden we hear Grace say "Obie, are you my man? OBIE, are you my man?" "Uh huh." he said back. It was so funny. I have no idea where she heard that or if she somehow just made it up but it was so funny.

Proof

The other day I was talking to a far away family member. . .she was concerned that M' doesn't smile very much. I assured her that M' smiles all the time at everyone, even people she doesn't know. I guess most of the pictures I post are of her looking serious so here is the proof. M's smiles. Enjoy!

Miss Big Eyes & Some More

Yesterday I was getting dressed and G' asked to put on makeup. Usually I don't let her put makeup on when we are planning to go out but for some reason I decided she could play with some eyeshadow. When I gave it to her she asked what it was for. I told her it was eyeshadow and it would help her eyes look bigger. She was satisfied with that answer, so she left the room and went to hang out on the couch. I didn't pay much attention to her. I went to check email and do a few other things. A few minutes later I caught a glimpse of her. . ."WOW." was all I could say. She smiled and said "do my eyes look big?" "They sure do." I said laughing. I told her she should look in the mirror. She was so proud of herself so she got up to look at her creation. I asked her what she thought and with the biggest smile ever she said "My eyes look SO big!" It was hilarious. This is what she looked like at the end of it all.

After the make up incident she decided she wanted to take my picture. So she took this one all by herself.

This one I took of M' fast a sleep.

Then after all of this O' woke up. I went up to his room. He has is name on the wall right above his crib and lately he has started playing with them. So when I went to get him I noticed some of the letters were missing. After I looked at it I started laughing so hard. This is what I saw. . .Mike nor I had done anything to these letters. This was ALL O's doing.

Do you see it? I BAAD. Isn't that hilarious?!? I couldn't help but hope it wasn't a message of some sort from God. After all this it was time for the Science Center, McDonald's, Naps, Dinner, Happy Birthday Phone Calls Family & Friends, Birthday Cupcakes, Olympics, a Returned Husband and a few gifts . So over all a fairly lovely day. Oh, and just so you know G's face was cleaned off before we left the house.

I have survived.

Mike got back just in time for my birthday. . .he had 30 minutes to spare. I'll post more later. Someone is begging for a Bible book to be read. Could someone please tell that same little girl not to get up before 7am. I'd appreciate it. Yawn.

Cupcakes

So the 25th is my Birthday. I'll be 29. I'm actually ok with this, although today at Chick-fil-a I noticed gray hair in the mirror and I didn't even have to look for it. . .it was just there, staring back at me. Usually I have to look around to find them. . .not this time. Happy Birthday to me! G' wanted to make me a cake so we decided on cupcakes. Sprinkles are a must with her, so here are the creations. Mike is on a business trip until late on the 25th so it will be me and the kids for my birthday. . .I think we are going to go to the Science Center. Yahoo! Its not really my favorite but its out of the house, free, and the kids are contained. Those three things will make it a good trip. Mike left today at 2pm. So far everything has gone well. Hopefully M' will be good tonight and G' won't wake up too early. . .I should go to bed.

Wii Weigh in. . .a little early.

I weighed in today because who knows what will happen tomorrow. (I'm alone with all three kids while Mike is on a business trip) Anyways, I lost .7 pounds so I'm down to 155.4. I was happy with that. I wasn't expecting a lose since I didn't get all my exercise in. So basically 10 pounds left. . .to be continued.

Girlie Girls and My Bubba Boy

Bubba Boy.

Sibling love....I think they are going to be trouble.

Matching tutus.

The three.
Here are some pictures from Saturday morning. G' wanted to wear her tutu and of course insisted on M' wearing hers. I have to admit they were pretty cute. So here they are. . .

Nice Surprise.

So we were sitting, attempting to eat dinner this evening when the door bell rang. When we looked out the front door there was a tall box that had a flower company name written on the outside. I figured Mike had gotten me flowers since he is going out of town and will be gone for most of my birthday (its Thursday, and he won't get back until late in the evening) Anyways, I opened the box and there were sunflowers and a note that said, "Happy Birthday! Love Jenny and Freddy" What a nice sister and brother-in-law. It was such a nice surprise and now I have some pretty yellow flowers sitting on my table. There was even a Happy Birthday balloon in with it that I'm guarding with my life. (A girl named Grace is trying her hardest to get it). So thank you thank you.

So tomorrow it starts. . .

Tomorrow afternoon Mike leaves for a business trip. He won't be back until Thursday night which means me and three kids. . .hopefully they will be on their best behavior. This will be my first extended period of time with all three plus all be all alone on night time duty with M'. Hopefully we will all make it to Friday alive and well.

One Day. . .

and I will wonder what happened to these crazy days where they are fully dependent on me. These days where they runaround crazy and don't listen. These days where they are taking so much in, and noticing everything. These days that sometimes are never ending. One day, these days will be gone. Forever. And they will be missed.

My crazy world today:

Sometimes crowded.

Sometimes frusterated.

Sometimes alone.

Sometimes sad.

Sometimes sweet .

Sometimes too sweet.

Most the time Crazy.

And the Wii said. . .

156.1 SO .2 pounds again. Yes, not 2 pounds or 1/2 a pound but .2 pounds. This needs to speed up. Maybe I should be glad things did not go up. . .hopefully next week will be more. Its been five weeks now and I've exercised at least 4 times per week and have been doing pretty well with eating healthy. This week all I wanted to do was eat. I just felt like I was starving all the time. I'm really needing some warm weather. I think that would make a huge difference.

Weigh in Thursday.

Thursday=official weigh in. Well, I haven't weighed in today. We were too busy trying to get out of the house this morning. . .plus I weigh in on the Wii and I took half of the curtains in to be dry cleaned, which means our big front window only had one side covered. Usually this isn't that big of a deal but I stand on the lovely Wii board with minimal clothing on. . .if you know what I mean. I figured the people across the street wouldn't really appreciate the "new" view they got so I didn't weigh in. Tomorrow. Tomorrow I'll step on. I feel like I'm getting a little stuck since I'm pretty close to what I was when I got pregnant with M'. It seems like the last five pounds is the worst. Some good news is I bought a pair of jeans a size smaller. A bit tight but they fit. The size bigger was too big. . .plus I'm hoping these will be too big in the next few months.c So that's about it for now. Stay tuned for the official number tomorrow.

And it was good.

Yep. That's right. Today was good. Its Thursday. We manged to get up, get dressed and meet a friend at the children's museum. The kids all got a long pretty well and M' slept in the carrier the whole time. At 1pm we left, drove through McDonald's and headed home. The kids didn't spill or drop anything and they got pretty cool little toys. The sun is shinning, its finally above freezing and all the kids are sleeping. Ahhh. . .good day. Plus since it's Thursday, that means shopping trip for me. I do grocery shopping Thursday nights and Mike watches the kids. I know, I know, excited about an alone grocery shopping trip. Yes. Yes I am. It is 1 1/2 hours of quiet out of the house time. I can look as quick or slowly as I like and I don't have to worry about kids pulling things off of shelves or fighting each other. So that was and will be my good day.

On the mend. . .

We are working on getting better. Still coughing a bit but hopefully the end is near. I've decided I'd rather get other people sick then stay home another day. We stayed home Sunday and Monday and then Tuesday we took two tours of preschools. (I never wanted to pay for preschool but after looking at them, they aren't as much as I thought and I don't want Grace to be behind at all when she starts Kindergarten. Plus she would love it and I'll have a little break Tues/Thurs. morning. . .well kind of a break.) After our tours we went to the outlet mall to play on the playground. Today we went to a different mall to play on that playground. . .its obvious by attitudes that three little ones are still sick, but if we go out at least they are a little bit distracted. I must look crazy with three kids. Today, while at the mall, we went into the bathroom and as I walked in a lady was standing there with her stroller. I walked in with one stroller and two running kids. As soon as she saw us she says, "Are those all your kids?" I said yup and smiled. She responded with "Wow." Wow for three kids, I didn't think that was too bad. I thought four kids crossed you over to "a lot of kids." I guess I've crossed it and I'm that crazy Mom with all those crazy kids. Ha. So that was our last few days. Oh, my computer has gone crazy and has millions of viruses. . .so until I get that figured out there probably won't be any pictures. . .just so you know.

House Bound

We are all sick. . .every last one of us. Enough said. Its no fun.

Nap Time?

It is suppose to be nap time. I decided to check on Grace since I've been hearing footsteps and slamming doors. . .I opened her door and the bed was empty. I didn't see or hear her anywhere. I almost started to worry then I thought the only place she could be was the closet. I opened that and there she was, she was standing in the dark with a flashlight. She was standing on top of a box, in only her princess panties. I should have been serious. I should have acted mad and told her to get her little tush in bed. (I have told her over and over today it was nap time. . .obviously she didn't listen) I cracked. I laughed out loud. I just couldn't help it. The picture was too funny. Instead I asked her what she was looking for. . .I got the dress down, helped her put it on and sent her to her bed. I warned that if she got up she would be in big trouble. As I left she laid down and seemed like she was going to stay. That was 10 minutes ago.

4 weeks completed.

Today I was down a whopping .2, yes POINT 2 pounds. Yahoo! Blah. Blah. I was hoping for at least 1/2 a pound. I'm claiming this poor weight loss week is due to all my buffness I've developing. . .until next week.

Hmmm.

Obie takes a nap in our room in a pack in play. Yesterday he woke up, climbed out and walked down the steps. I met him at the bottom since he was calling for me all the way down. Mike also heard him and met us at the bottom of the stairs. Mike and I were not excited about Obie's new "accomplishment." As we looked at Obie standing there, at the bottom of the steps, the pride beamed from his face and he proudly put his arms in the air and said "Ta DA!" It doesn't get better then that. We managed not to laugh but we couldn't hold back the smiles.

Story Time

After the snow fun we came inside. Mike had a phone meeting he had to do so I tried to keep the kids away from him. We attempted to read some books, while laying on the floor but O' wouldn't stay off of M'. I was able to take a few pictures during the chaos. We also learned that if M' is laying on the floor O' will quickly follow.

My Cuties. . .minus one.

Here are a few of my cuties. . .I'm just missing Obie.

Snow Day...

Well kind of. For some reason 2-3 inches seems like the storm of the century. Oh yeah, that's what they called it. They had news coverage all night and now everything is closed...except Mike's work, so he used some extra hours he had from this week and took off. We had fun. Sledding on our little hill. Probably not the safest thing in the world since we would fly down the hill, across the sidewalk, bump off the curb and then got straight across the street into the other curb (where we had to stop ourselves with our feet). We are on a one way street so we only had to look for cars coming one direction so that helped. After that, we gathered some snow and made snow ice cream. It actually was pretty good. . .loaded with sugar, but good. So we took advantage of our snow day and now we are onto naps.

Yea for Obie!

Today Obie initiated sitting on the potty. . .many many times. Nothing. But this last time he asked to sit on the potty he pooped. Finally. We sang. We danced. And we all got jelly beans. Hopefully this will happen again sometime soon.

My game plan. . .

I can keep things tidy. I can keep things put away. I can keep laundry moving. Food on the table. Dishes pretty much clean. Toys put away. BUT. I. STINK. AT. ACTUAL. CLEANING. I have three kids. I don't want to be busy every night. I'm attempting to exercise. AND Mike is home in the evening. . .I don't want to spend that time cleaning. So I don't. I don't really clean. I staighten. This is fine until you take a close look. . .luckily most people don't. Mike doesn't and the kids don't but every once in awhile I do. . .and it drives me crazy. I wish I could really clean. I just need two extra hours a day with no one around. HA! Thats never going to happen. . .so I came up with a game plan, and I convinced Mike to help out with it. Here it is. . .from the Fly Lady.
There are "zones."
Each "zone" has a week.
Each week has a list.

This week it was the entry way and dining room. Since the kids were gone I tackled it. I've almost completed it. I done to the floor and dusting a few shelves. If I can be consistant, I figured the first month would be tough (since I haven't deep cleaned in a while), and then from then on it would get easier.

So here is the list:

FlyLady's Detailed Cleaning List - Zone 1: The
Entrance, Front Porch, and Dining Room
This is my detailed cleaning list for Zone 1. Ensure you adapt it to fit your
home and family. If you are still decluttering, you are not ready for this
whole list, concentrate on decluttering only! BabySteps! - FlyLady
Entrance Detailed Cleaning List:
Start at the ceiling and work your way down to the floor.
1. Clean cobwebs
2. Dust window sills and front door
3. Clean switch plate of hand prints and walls if needed
4. Put plants in to the shower and give them a good rinse. Let me set
there until you are finished.
5. Dust furniture
6. Dust baseboards
7. Straighten the coat closest
8. Sweep vacuum or mop the floor
9. Put back the plants. You would hate for DH to walk into a jungle
tomorrow morning. LOL
10. Add your own personal touches to make it more welcoming.
Dining Room Detailed Cleaning List
Start at the ceiling and work your way down to the floor.
1. Clean the cobwebs
2. Dust window sills
3. Clean the window
4. Clean doors of china cabinet after you straighten dishes if they
need done. Dust
5. Clean and straighten any drawer
6. Clean off top of Dining table and Polish
7. Rinse plants in the shower
8. Dust the bottoms of the chairs.
9. Dust the baseboards
10. Move furniture and vacuum underneath (except the china cabinet)
I turned mine over one time. It was not funny.
11. Add your own personal touches.

I didn't do the porch since it is freezing. Maybe next time.

How 'bout you. . .do you have a cleaning game plan? Does it work or do you just opt out of cleaning?

Weigh Day

Its that time again. . .time to set on the Wii and see how the week went. I exercised on the Wii 3 times and did the eliptical machine once. Yesterday I chose to go to Outback for someone's Birthday instead of doing the eliptical machine. . .I probably could have done both but I chose not to. I was a little worried that I wasn't going to have much change this week, but I stepped on and 156.5 poped up. I was happy with that. . .thats a pound from last week so I'm still on track. Its been 3 weeks and I've lost about 4.5 pounds. So not too bad. As long as things keep going down I'll be good.

Mama & M'

So today a friend took G' and O' out for the day, so I decided I'd take some pictures of M'. Its so much easier when O' isn't attempting to jump on her. . .plus I don't have to bribe people with quarters to get a good shot of them. So here are a few of my favorite. Now its time for some work. . .I probably should have worked and then had some fun but seems to me like the fun should come first to make sure it happens.
