Dangerous?

I'm not sure if this is dangerous or not but I did it anyway. Our backyard was a little out of control. Its been raining like crazy and the grass was high. . .really high. I can't start the regular mower and it is so heavy to bring down the stairs so I whipped out the electric mower and the long orange extension cord. It wasn't raining but the grass was a little wet. I figured its a mower and the maker must have taken into consideration that someone would want to mow wet grass so I went for it. . .I kept waiting for the shock or something bad to happen but it seemed OK. The backyard is a little more under control. . .except for the massive amount of weeds. I'm not quite sure what to do about them.

There are two new videos on You Tube. They are from this weekend when we went to a lake. It was windy but we had fun in the sand. Search the3bannons.

Doctor's Visit and NO SHOTS!

Today we went to Grace's 3 year doctors appointment. She did great! The blood pressure cuff was the most scarely but there were no screams or tears.

She weighed 32 lbs. (65%)
She measured 38 inches (75%)

She made sure the doctor knew that she liked chocolate milk and that her daddy crushed her pink piggy step stool. (Mike cracked it by sitting on it) She also made sure she and Obie got a sticker. Grace got princesses and Obie got Elmo.

Grace Turns 3!

Princess Party here we come! A Princess Party is what we had. Plates, balloons, crowns, cake. . . Grace loved it. She woke up screaming from her bed "Its my BIRTHDAY! Its my BIRTHDAY!" She asked everyone to sing to her and loved wearing her crown all day. We went to Denny's for breakfast (her request) then to the Magic House and then we ended the day with friends, family, tacos, cake and gifts. We had a great day and Grace had a wonderful time.

Zoo

Zoo day started off lovely. . .well until we actually started heading there. The sky was blue and the air was warm so we loaded up and started the 30 minute drive. By the time we got there the sky was gray, the air was much cooler and the large rain drops were beginning to fall. The weather wasn't going to stop us though. We unloaded the wagon and off the the zoo we went. First stop, kids zoo. We mingled with the goats, rode the frogs and petted some furry little creatures. Then we zoomed through the bug house, looked at hippos and peeked in the monkey house. . .then off to Chick-fil-a we went.

Blogging Break Over

Wow, its been a while and so much has happened. . .where to begin. Well first the Bannon's came to visit, Babu, Wawa and Uncle Nate. We had a blast with them but missed Aunt Krista and Aunt Jessica. We stayed busy by visiting the zoo, the magic house, celebrating Gracie's 3rd birthday and eating lots of yummy food. It was exhausting and so much fun. Today is our second day back to just us so we are trying to get back into our schedule and get everything back in order. . .its much more fun to hang out with family then to keep up with cleaning and what ever else that needs to be done. . .so now we play catch up.

Easter Easter

What can I say, we aren't too exciting. We started the morning off with Easter baskets. A little later Denise and Wes came over for breakfast and then off to church we went. Not late or anything. . .actually 15 minutes early. Then after church we had an egg hunt, and a late lunch. I'm not a big ham person. . .I like Honey Baked ham but I didn't want to pay for it and I don't know how to cook it so I had to come up with something else. . .chicken enchiladas. Yep. We had Mexican. Enchiladas, guacamole, tortilla chips and another type of dip. It was so good. Oh, and we needed something for dessert so I made and apple pie. We were stuffed. . .it was great.

All Alone. . .

This morning Obie and I had the morning alone. Denise and Wes picked up Grace and had a morning out at the science center. She had a blast. . .but it was a little weird for Obie and I. We were a little lost. Obie wasn't so sure how to entertain himself. . .and I didn't know what to do with Obie. I'm usually trying to break up "sharing wars" and play/read with kids jumping in and out of my lap. . .without Grace things were really calm and clean. It was nice to hang out with Obie but he just kept walking to each room looking around and then coming back to where ever I was with this look on his face like "what are we going to do?". It was a little odd. He did manage to knock his bowl of chocolate rice crispies on the floor and then proceeded to pick every since one up off the floor and eat it. . .that kept him busy for a while. . .and I was able to do some dishes. Grace used to be able to entertain herself for hours. She didn't need someone telling her what to do and how to do it. . .I guess this is what happens. . .the how birth order thing. Oh well, life goes on. . .and Grace is back to entertain.

Mmmmm. . .so good!

I'm not a fan of mint. I like mint but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. . .well, its one of Mike's favorite. So being the wonderful wife I am I bought him some mint hot chocolate that I stumbled across at Trader Joes. When the Hopson's came down to visit everyone had a cup. . .except me. . .because I'm not a fan of mint. . .well now I am. . .this stuff is amazing. It comes in a little green can. I just put a cup of milk in the microwave, dumped in 1 scoup of chocolate powder. . .and amazing. Its great! I'm a fan!

Song retry

For those of you who attempt to listen to the music I have on here, first of all, I appreciate you. Secondly, I am sorry for the un-reliability due to your being outside of the U.S.. Finally, I think I have figured out how to post the song in a reliable way.

I will retry posting Nokta by Rachid Taha in a week or so. However for now, in light of this Sunday being Easter, I am posting He's Alive by Don Francisco. It is an old song, and my mp3 is poor quality, but it is a great song. Again, I would appreciate if you would listen to the song, and if you would post your opinion.

Grace's Picture & Buff Daddy

New chin up bar. . .need I say more.

Mama. . .by Grace

Tonight. . .

I didn't go to work. We went to gymnastics, had soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner and got ready for bed. Here are my loves. . .

Thank you Nana & Papa!

It was YUMMY!

ClearCheckBook.com

So before October we always knew "about" how much was in are bank account. I would write checks and I knew about how much would be left when they cleared. . .Mike didn't know about money, he just knew if we didn't have much left. . .because I would let him know we were a little short until payday. . .Well, problem solved. ClearCheckBook.com is free and we both keep track of what we spend. Everything goes into the "right" category and then it makes charts, graphs, averages the categories. . . its amazing. We know how much goes where and we know how much we spent on groceries each month, clothes, various bills or whatever. Its great. You should check it out.

My Two Favorites.

My editing is done and my CD is sold. Here are my two favorites.

I got the bow idea from:

http://katiebaskins.blogspot.com/

I'm sitting on the couch

and Grace is making her Little People talk. She has a farm, manger, and ark, along with people and animals to match. The farmer is missing and the animals are behind her fence. The angel is on top of the manger and all it well. . .and hilarious. This whole pretend thing is so funny to watch from the outside.

-Grace was a grump.
-Obie was a grump.
-The house has exploded.
-We are out of bread.
-The day got better.
-I got a nap today.
-Grace got a nap today.
-Obie is still sleeping.

-Photo CD done and sold.

Maybe tonight I'll add some picutres. . .until then.

Thank you Jen & Fred, my parents, and Ben

for posting your opinions on some of my songs. I am posting a new song. This one is by Rachid Taha. He is one of favorite artists of the last year. He is an Algerian musician with a sort if Rock/Rai style. This song isn't necessarily my favorite of all his songs but lately I have really been enjoying it. Please listen to the song (in it's entirety) and give me your opinion.

Photo Shoot

Here are a few of the pictures I took for a friend of a friend.

I told a few of you about it. So here they are. We took around 300 pictures in about 2 hours. I just emailed her the proofs so we will see what she thinks.
