So the doctors. . .has come and gone.

So no super long wait, which was good. There were also some interesting people to watch in the waiting room, which was also good. I did my pee in the cup thing and then waited in the waiting room for about 30 minutes. . .which was way better then last time. Then my lovely name was called. I had mentally prepared myself for a nice whopping number on the scale. . .I made sure I wore similar clothes from the last appointment so I couldn't blame it on the clothes. . .you know when cool weather comes you need heavier clothes. Well, I stepped up and she started moving the little weight thing trying to get the bar to balance. . .she passed my number from two weeks ago. . .but get this. . .she was sliding it down. Down! I lost two pounds. I thought maybe I didn't remember correctly from the week before so when she said ok and went to do my blood pressure I had to say something. "Are you sure that was right?" "Yep." she said. "What was I last time?" I asked. "You lost 2 pounds." "Are you sure?" She then asked if I wanted to stand back on the scale. I declined and told her that never happens and I'm actually really good and gaining weight. My blood pressure was fine. When she finally left the room I quickly got back on the scale. She was right. I had lost 2 pounds. . .Hopefully I won't make up for it next time. Anyways, the doctor finally came in. I told her I felt like I was having a decent amount of braxton hicks. She didn't seem too concerned. Then she listened to the heart rate. 140, and of course the baby was moving all over the place. Then she measured my belly. While she did that I told her about my right "funny bone" excruciating pain situation. At first she said I probably gave myself a hernia from picking up my kids. Then she looked at my side and side I was fine. I asked if I was measuring right. She said I was measuring a little big at 32 weeks. . .well according to my "new" due date of 12/5 that 1/2 a week ahead. . .I also have felt like this baby is low. I asked her what she thought. She said yes when she first poked around my belly then when she did the heart beat she said maybe not too low based on where she found the heartbeat. So we'll see. I'm a little concerned it keeps measuring and looking big. . .its not like this is a surprise pregnancy or anything like that. . .so here is the overview. . .

140 heart rate
31 weeks 3 days-belly measuring at 32 weeks
down 2 pounds-total up 18 pounds
Next appointment Oct. 20

Doctor Doctor. . .

Today is my doctor's appointment. I'm 31 weeks now. I'm not sure how this appointment will go. Hopefully she won't be so behind like last time. (1 sat there for an hour) We have pretty much been on vacation for the past week so I'm sure the scale will like that. . .I've gotten to the uncomfortable point. This child seems to be a mover. The other night it found nerve or something by my right hip and had a grand ol time. I have never been in so much pain from a baby just moving around. The pain felt like the pain you feel when you hit your funny bone really hard but the feeling was in my lower side, over and over again and I couldn't stop it. I had to stand up, go to the kitchen and lean on the counter. I didn't know if I should laugh at the whole situation or cry from the pain. Grace informed me after the whole ordeal that it was only baby Pinky learning to move. . .she was so matter of fact. Yeah, just learning to move. . .well this baby better learn how to move a little nicer or we are going to have a problem. So we are down to the count down. . .single digits of weeks left. . .9. . .we could even have this baby is 6 weeks if things work out like they did with Obie. Pretty unbelievable. Currently we have not discussed names for more then a total of 1 hour, we have bought nothing, and we have not gotten anything out of the basement for it. I'm kind of starting to realize its just around the corner which is causing some panic. There is no need for panic but this intense desire to clean and get things done isn't helping. Only problem is bending over hurts, I'm tired, and nothing I clean is ever clean enough, plus we haven't been around to do anything. I think I'm a bit crazy. I've got me event list that I'm check through. . .its getting shorter which means baby is coming sooner and sooner. Here is the list. . .

Carmel, CA-Check
Anna's NC Wedding-Check
Bicentennial at Work-10/10
Josh's NC Wedding-10/17
Halloween Even @ Work-10/30
Nate Visits-11/6
Mom Comes-Second week in Nov.
Thanksgiving-
Due Date-12/5

I'm hoping it actually comes the weekend before Thanksgiving, but we'll see. Either way its coming to an end soon. . .we could potentially have a baby next month. . .Family of Five. . .doesn't that just freak you OUT!

2 trips down. . .one to go. . .

I'm back from the second trip. After we got back from CA I had a day here and then I flew to NC for a cousins wedding. It was a quick trip but all went well. I haven't had to fly by myself in the longest time and I didn't have any kids I was responsible for of 2 nights and 1 1/2 day. Pretty weird. It was great to see everyone at the wedding, but it was kind of weird to be on my own. I had to rent a car on my own (which I've never done), I had to wait for my plane on my own, look for signs and get there all on my own. I knew I could do it but after being married for almost 8 1/2 years there are things I'm just not used to doing. . .like trying to find my way somewhere I've never been, or having to stop and ask directions at a gas station at 5am. I never ask for directions or look at a map, that's Mike's job. I also don't have to worry if I can lift my super heavy carry on up into the little space above my seat. . .Mike's job too. I also don't have to worry about who I have to sit by because it is always Mike. . .not this time. It was a little weird. Much more worry free when Mike is around. . .Speaking of Mike, he did a great job with the kids. He got them all dressed up to come to the airport. . .Obie had on a little blazer and plaid pants and Grace had her plaid dress on with her sparkly shoes, and her hair was done. The house was clean, with dishes done, and when they got me they offered to take me to breakfast. Grace picked Denny's surprise surprise. They have discontinued her favorite alien pancakes and the colored sugared that can be poured into water to turn it green. . .she was disappointed. . .I'm not sure if it will be her favorite anymore or not. So overall my trip was a quick little alone get a way. It made me realize how much I depend on Mike without even realizing it. So I better make sure I appreciate it and not take it for granted probably like I usually do. . .

Carmel, CA

Carmel was great. We had a blast, kept busy and stayed up way too late. I paid for it today. . .I was exhausted. We went to the beach, had picnics, visited an amazing playground, went to the aquarium, played numerous games of Settlers late into the night, ate out, and went for a short hike. Anyways, here are a few of the pictures, I'm off to pack. Tomorrow I'm going to NC for a wedding and will be back on Sunday morning. Mike is being left to fend for himself and the kids. This is the first time I've left all three of them for anytime so hopefully things will go smoothly. I'm sure they will have a great time and might even start wanting me to go. . .I'll let you know.
