Outside fun.

We spent most of the morning outside in the warm sun. It was great. . .in fact, Obie didn't even have his pants on it was so warm. He is a glimpse of our fun. There are more pictures of Obie in the pictures because Grace didn't want to cooperate. Finally I told her I'd give her a quarter if she let me take her picture. I didn't think it would work but she immediately said ok, and totally did what I asked. . .hmmm. . .I don't know if that was a good bribe or not. . .the will not become a habit. . .

Got them.

Yesterday I got some seeds. I decided it might just be easier to get them with out Grace so that's what I did. Today we worked on planting them. We got pansies, eggplants, watermelon, cantaloupes, dill, cilantro, tomatoes and I think that's it. We have never tried this before, but if this works it might just be amazing. Grace wasn't too much help. She didn't want to touch the dirt for some reason so I did the dirt and she did the seeds. Now we wait. . .patiently.

Seeds.

I think we are going to try to plant something. I'm not sure what yet, but something. If figure if the kids are going to play in the dirt, throw shovels around and make holes everywhere we should at least make it a little productive. I think I'm going to let Grace pick out some seeds and we'll see what happens. Our tulips that we planted a while back are beginning to grow, so that got be to a good sign. My neighbor gave them to me from her garden. Well out of all the one I planted I think I got 1 or 2 blooms. . .she had too many to count. Maybe this year will be different. . .just maybe.

Pretend and it will happen.

We decided about a week ago that if we pretended it was warm it might just happen. We ate popcicles and dressed in tank tops. It took about a week and now its warm. . .for the moment anyways.

Game Time

Mike got a new board game for Christmas. . .exciting and fun you might think. . .well I'm not sure just yet. He convinced me to play it with him Saturday night. I felt bad, he has been carrying the rule book around with him trying to figure out the rules. So I played. It was complicated. Had way to many pieces, and could potenually take forever. The game is Axis and Allies. I pretty much won. I conquered two of his cities (that was our goal), and he wasn't too happy with that. . .but I played so he could complain. The game might be ok. . .and maybe a little fun. . .but I can't admit that to him or he might want to start playing every Saturday night. Several years ago we got on a Monopoly kick. We played every night. Yep. Just the two of us. We were boarder lame but it was still pretty fun. I don't know if I could have an Axis and Allies kick just yet. We'll see.

So. . .

I'm unmotivated. I don't really know what I have been doing but it sure doesn't seem like much. I haven't done much on the computer. . .as you can see. . .since its been a week. I was doing so well. . .I just feel a little chaotic right now. . .why, I'm not sure. I did cook dinner twice this week which was good. I made quiche Monday and Spaghetti Tuesday. I even made the crust from scratch. It even tasted pretty good. I think I could make it everyday. I put mushrooms in it and Broccoli. Amazing. . .and it only took about 15 minutes to put together. . .AND I only got one large bowl dirty. Defintely a plus consider I'm the dishwasher. . .one of my many titles. So, that's about it. Chaotic and unorganized. That about sums me up right now. . .OH. . .one more plus. We fixed the back door handle. For those of you who know it used to move around and you could almost see out of the whole the door knob was sitting in. The latch on the side of the door never really worked either so you had to manually mess with it to get it to pop out to have the door latch. Anyways, this might make no since but now basically the back door works, you can't see though any holes in it and it closes every time. So one plus. OK. I'll do better tomorrow and hopefully give you a few pictures. Until then. . .
