Main St. & M'

We attempted to take some pictures down at Main St. today but it was a little too chilly for our liking. O's booger coated face didn't help either. After our walk we dropped off Nana and Papa at the eye doctors and the three kids and I came home for naps. M' was wide awake so we took advantage of our time and took some pictures.

Superman!

Grace has princess pjs, so Nana thought Obie needed some special pjs too. . .here he is. . .Superman. He puts his arms out and flys. . .he's great.

M's First Bath at Home. . .

M's belly button has finally healed and is no longer "goopy" so we gave her a real bath. She loved it and G' loved helping Nana. M' enjoyed it too. She slept amazing afterwards.

Saturday we got to go and see Santa. The kids loved it and we had no tears this year.

Happy Birthday Obie!

Today Obie is 2. Pretty unbelievable. He got a doughnut with sprinkles and candles for breakfast and for dinner we plan to go to Red Robin. That was Grace's idea. . .she told us we should go there since they sing Happy Birthday and give you a balloon. So that's the plan. On Saturday we will have a real birthday party. . .we decided to wait until then since Jenny and Fred will be here. For that we will go to Chuck E Cheeses and then come home for some ice cream and cake. Obie has requested an Elmo cake so I need to formulate a plan for that. I'll keep you posted. Hopefully the Elmo cake will actually resemble Elmo and the red frosting won't be too horrible.

Today I learned. . .

if my neck is cold, I'm cold. . .and if its wrapped in a scarf and warm, I'm warm. Amazing.

Crunch. . .

Today I thought I hit an SUV while parking in the Walgreens parking lot. . .turns out I ran over a beer can.

I think they like each other.

Sibling Love. . .proof that they like each other. . .since sometime in the future they will insist otherwise.

I'm not sure M' is feeling top notch today. She had a difficult night last night and was a little fussy today. I attempted to lay with her on the couch. . .I'm not quite sure what she thought of it.

The Past Two Weeks

-M' entered the world

-we got a tree

-the weather has dropped

-my camera card reader stopped working and broke my 2 GB camera memory card :(

-Mike & I got our Christmas present to eachother. . .a dishwasher, installed and working just in time for Thanksgiving (we both agreed this is one of the best presents ever. . .I'm feeling a bit old and grown up due to this)

-I was able to wear some pants that actually have a zipper and a button. . .so exciting.

-Mike is sick.

-Mom is almost sick.

-I have decided I really like hot chocolate.

-G' and O' really like M'.

-O' has started SingHumming Christmas songs. . .he is too lazy to pronounce the words right. . .but some how, even though he doesn't really say any of the words in the song we still some how know which on it is.

-I'm going to be 29 in 2 1/2 months. . .I'm not quit sure what I think of this.

-M' has been wearing a hat I knitted and actually finished. . .this almost never happens. . .both the kids wearing something I made and me actually finishing something.

I think that's about it. Nothing too exciting. Just some of the recent happenings and some of my random thoughts.

40 Weeks. . .Yesterday

Yesterday marked 40 weeks. Today M' is 2 weeks old. . .I'm so glad she came early. So far everything has been going well. She still seems pretty relaxed and has been sleeping pretty well. Tomorrow we have another trip to the doctor to make sure she is gaining weight. She has had no problems eating but at her one week appointment she was at 7 lbs. 10 oz. and here birth weight was 7 lbs. 15 oz. Basically we just have to show that she has been eating well and has gained and we then we won't have to go back again in a week. As for me, I'm feeling pretty good. I feel like I'm bouncing back much faster this time. I'm about 10 pounds away from what I started at when I first got pregnant with M'. . .more jiggly then 9 months ago. . .but I'll work on that later. We have been staying busy and trying to get the kids out to somewhere to stay busy. We have been hitting up the local mall playgrounds and the Chick-Fil-a playground. Its a little harder to get them worn out for nap time when it is so cold outside. I haven't been too tired since M' has been doing well sleeping at night. . .it has also been so helpful having my Mom here. I haven't really gotten a taste of being a mom of three since she has been here to help. . .I'll let you know how it is after she and everyone else leaves after Christmas. . .I'm preparing myself for total chaos for a while.
